Getting to The Apartment, Beaune

Beaune is perfectly located in the serene French countryside—far enough from the city chaos yet conveniently close to vibrant hubs like Dijon, Lyon, or Paris. Thanks to efficient trains and major airports, reaching Beaune from many airports is both quick and affordable.

Arriving from Lyon

Lyon takes the spotlight as our top pick for your French entry. Immerse yourself in Lyon's charming blend of a small-town feel and urban allure. With an array of eateries, from quaint bistros serving hearty Lyonnaise dishes to globally acclaimed Michelin-starred restaurants, Lyon promises a culinary adventure. 

After landing at Lyon Airport Saint-Exupéry, make your way to the Rhônexpress : Shuttle Lyon centre ⇌ Airport, following the signs at baggage claim. There you can hop on a quick tram to the heart of Lyon at Gare Lyon Part Dieu.

Once you've arrived at Lyon Part Dieu, you can venture forth and spend a day or two exploring this delightful city or you can immediately hop on a train straight to Beaune.

Gare Lyon Part Dieu

If you're continuing directly to Beaune: Book a train ticket in advance via the SNCF Connect English website or app-

  • Destination: Gare De Beaune

  • Availability: Departing every 2 hour

Navigating Your Journey: Use the central station monitors to find the train to Dijon, your train's departure time, and match the train number on your ticket to locate your platform.

20 minutes before departure: Check the monitors or SNCF Connect App for your boarding platform.

Getting to your platform: Take the stairs, ramp, or elevator from the main station to the boarding platforms. Follow platform letters on signs or the floor, and confirm your spot by checking platform TV screens.

Onboard Comfort: Ask a porter to assist with your bags, grab your seat, plug in your phone, sign on to wifi and enjoy the scenic French countryside. Listen for your stop!

Arriving from Paris

The city of lights dazzles with iconic sights and endless excitement. Don't rush out until you've soaked up the Eiffel Tower, Moulin Rouge, and the mysterious catacombs. If Paris doesn't have you spellbound and Beaune beckons, here's your express route:

At Terminal 3, catch the free CDGVAL shuttle train (from Terminals 1 and 2) to the train station. Follow Baggage-Exit signs to Trains RER B. Snag the $3 tickets on the SNCF Connect App or at the ticket booths in the station. Hop on the 45-min subway ride to Paris, exit at Chatelet Les Halles, and transfer to the train to RER A.

Note: You'll need to stop and transfer in Dijon before continuing on to Beaune.

Arriving in Beaune

When you arrive in Beaune, you can easily walk to the apartment or arrange for a car to meet you at the train station. We recommend the walk if the weather is nice or we can set up a short car transport in advance to help you skip the walk.
